It’s my hope and prayer that you will be

On April 17, 2005 my wife
suddenly left me without any warning. I found myself alone,
afraid and in dire financial distress, I was 37 years old. Just
one week prior to my wife leaving, I was invited to a local
church. It would be my first visit to church ever. I was not a
believer at this time, but God believed in me.
God
knew what was going to happen before I did and He had
already set a plan in motion. Within the next 8 months of my
wife’s departure, I would lose my house and car to
foreclosure and repossession, most of my belongings to
thieves and my brother to cancer.
To make matters even worse, I had just moved to Springfield
,
Missouri
and I knew very little people and had even fewer friends. It
was in this time of isolation that God took me under his
wing and cared for my every need. I don’t mean to say that
God miraculously materialized money, food and housing for
me. He instead guided me and comforted me through my hard
times.
My
lack of friends gave me more time to myself and I found that
spending time with the Lord in His Word was the only comfort
I could find. Over the next few years I studied God’s
Word, I wanted to know Him personally. I wanted a relationship
not a religion.
I
give this testimony because I want you know how faithful God
is to all of us who trust Him. Throughout my ordeal, I had
an inner sense that God was calling me to ministry. At
first I proclaimed God's Word via blogging on MySpace.com
and in 2007 I started A Word from God
out of a one bedroom apartment on a tiny laptop and a
$5 microphone. I produced CD ROMS and handed them out to my
friends.
On July 7, 2008, James Lindly Ministries was formed
under the Laws pertaining to the State of Missouri.

God
worked through the generosity and prayers of people to make A Word from God
